Gulliver's Book's will be moving to a new home out in the Chena Pump Plaza later this year.
The store will open at it's new location on October 3rd.
Due to much less space in the new spot, Gulliver's has been having to retool their business model in order to fit in with the current status of the Fairbanks economy.
Currently, Gulliver's is offering a storewide 30 percent off of their books.
The lease for the business at the current location is set to end in September.
Co-owner of Gulliver's Books, Bryan Wiskeman, told us the reason for the sudden change in the bookstore's location.
"A multitude of reasons but basically declining sales over the last few years are forcing us to downsize between the current state of the economy and people's changing shopping habits. We've just had a decline in sales and we have to respond to that. Reducing our inventory, obviously were going to need to take our shelves from here to over there. They got to be mostly empty to do that. At some point will start taking the inventory over that we want for the new store."
