Fairbanks woman faces vehicle theft charges

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - 30-year-old Meghan Hasbrouck of Fairbanks faces charges of first degree vehicle theft.
According to court documents, the Fairbanks Police Department received a call on February 20th from a woman stating her vehicle had been stolen.
The victim told officers that Hasbrouck had been babysitting for her and had asked on multiple occasions to use the victim's vehicle, but was repeatedly denied.
The report states Hasbrouck took the keys when the victim wasn't looking, and left with the vehicle.
Hasbrouck was apprehended at the South Cushman Holiday gas station a while later.
