Fairbanks woman charged with assault, robbery, and theft

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - 22-year-old Ashley Firestone of Fairbanks faces charges of third degree assault, first degree robbery, and second degree theft after Alaska State Troopers received a report that someone had been robbed while in Firestone's vehicle.
According to the report, the victim had been trying to get a ride into town, when he noticed Firestone and the other passenger were acting strangely.
The victim alleged that Firestone's passenger held a gun on him and ordered him to empty his pockets.
When he refused, he was allegedly forced from the vehicle and shot at once.
The report cites Firestone's knowledge that the events were going to take place as grounds for the charges.
