Fairbanks man charged with attempted murder in West Fairbanks stabbing

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A Fairbanks man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly stabbing a man in the neck inside his hotel room.
38-year-old Christopher Turco is charged with attempted murder and 2 counts of assault.
According to reports, a victim was found lying on Old Airport Road Friday evening with a severe injury to his neck.
Police followed the man's blood trail to the Extended Stay America Hotel, and then to a guest room, where there was a significant amount of blood on the bed and walls.
The room was registered to Turco, who was located a short time later, shirtless, and running near Kivalina Park.
After a short pursuit, officers took Turco into custody. They say they found blood on his clothing not consistent with any injury to himself.
