Fairbanks man charged with assault, theft after alleged Christmas stick-up

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - 24-year-old Jerald Burton faces charges for one count of Robbery in the first degree, one count of Burglary in the first degree, one count of second degree Theft, and two counts of third degree Assault.
Fairbanks Police say officers responded to a call in Hamilton Acres around 1-30 Christmas morning.
The victim informed F-P-D that Burton and some other associates had taken several electronics - including a PlayStation 4 and an Xbox One - as well as a wallet and one ounce of marijuana.
Burton was apprehended a short time later when he was spotted at a gas station.
The stolen items were recovered as well.
