Fairbanks man accused of robbing Beaver Sports at knifepoint

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - A Fairbanks man was arraigned in district court today after allegedly robbing Beaver Sports at knife point.
The Alaska State Troopers say shortly before 1 PM yesterday, 22-year-old Sterling Thomas attempted to shoplift a jacket from the sporting goods store.
Employees say when they confronted Thomas, he pulled out a knife and threatened to stab them.
Thomas walked away from the store allegedly waving the knife toward other witnesses.
Thomas is charged with Robbery, theft, assault, and resisting arrest.
During his arraignment, Thomas was combative with the judge, and court officials muted his audio feed.
