Eielson's 'Red Flag' exercise draws pilots and crew from around the world

Red Flag Alaska has once again returned to Eielson Air Force Base, bringing pilots and airmen from all over the world to the interior.

Each exercise is a joint, tactical air combat employment exercise which corresponds to the operational capability of participating units.
The main goal of Red Flag Alaska is to provide each aircrew with simualted missions, to increase the success rate and the chances of survival in combat situations.
Red Flag not only benefits airmen but maintenance crews and intelligence experts also gain from these exercises.
