Constitutional deadline passes for legislative session

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - The Alaska State legislature has been in session for 121 days, meaning the constitutional deadline has been met as of Wednesday

According to Republican Rep. Charisse Millett, the house majority has already failed with this past extension.

Millett said the issue of the budget was not always the focus of the session, and it is still not resolved.

Lawmakers can extend their session for 10 more days, but it would require votes from the minority Republicans to pass.
