Carlson Center throwing a beach party at 20 below

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Thermometers around the Fairbanks area have dipped well under 20 below, but the Carlson Center is gearing up for a beach party.
This weekend, the arena will host a tropical-themed family event featuring a movie, yoga, games, entertainment ,and music.
Friday night will include a showing of Jumanji; and Saturday will offer a wide variety of games and family entertainment options before the event closes with an adults-only party featuring live music.
Carlson Center Operations Manager, Adam Powell, says there will be real sand, warm temperatures, and plenty of entertainment options for kids and adults alike during the day on Saturday.
Adam Powell; Operations Manager, Carlson Center>>: "We'll have all sorts of entertainment on the stage, everything from Polynesian dancing to laughter yoga, you name it. Just kind of - you think of the fair, stuff going on on stage, that's what we're going to be doing. And then we'll also have a cornhole tournament, beach volleyball tournament, we have a bunch of games for kids and adults. We have giant Jenga, giant Twister, giant bowling, giant Connect Four - you kind of do a little of everything while you're there, whether you're two years old or 22, you can have a good, good time on Family Day."
