Anchorage woman dies in vehicle accident between Fairbanks and Nenana

An Anchorage woman died Tuesday night in a single-vehicle accident southeast of Fairbanks on the Parks Highway.

Alaska State Troopers received a call last night, shortly after 11:00 p.m., notifying them about a crash at mile 324.7 of the highway, about halfway between Fairbanks and Nenana.

After investigating, Troopers say they found that 25-year-old Charlene Peterson of Anchorage was driving a 2005 Toyota Tacoma southbound, when her truck left the roadway and rolled over.

First responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
Alcohol doesn't appear to have been a factor in the wreck, and Peterson's next of kin have been notified.
