PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Lamar Odom replaced an injured Kobe Bryant and matched his career high with 22 rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers scored a 99-82 victory last night over the Portland Trail Blazers. Bryant sat out with a sore left ankle. Portland was again without All-Star guard Brandon Roy due to a sore right hamstring.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State outscored Oregon 30-17 in the second half to run away with a 62-42 victory yesterday. Omari Johnson had 16 of his season-high 18 points in the first half for the Beavers, who last month won at Oregon for the first time since '93. The 20-point win marked the widest margin of victory for Oregon State in the series since 1982.

SEATTLE (AP) — Isaiah Thomas responded from being benched the game before to score 17 points and resurgent Washington cruised to a 79-56 victory over Arizona State last night. The Huskies and Sun Devils are in a five-way tie for second place in the scrambled conference, one game behind California.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — DeAngelo Casto scored 19 points and blocked three shots as Washington State beat Arizona 78-60 yesterday, knocking the Wildcats out of a tie for first place in the Pac-10. Washington State held Arizona to 42 percent shooting to sweep the season series.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Matt Bouldin scored 19 points and No. 17 Gonzaga pulled away at the end for a 66-58 victory over Memphis yesterday. Robert Sacre added 13 points and Steven Gray finished with 12, despite shooting 4 of 12 from the field for Gonzaga. Gray had seven rebounds.

SEATTLE (AP) — Free-agent left-hander Erik Bedard is coming back to the Seattle Mariners. General manager Jack Zduriencik said yesterday that the team and the oft-injured 30-year-old agreed to a one-year contract with a mutual option for 2011. The contract is expected to have a base salary a fraction of the $7.75 million Bedard made last season.
