The UAF men's basketball team has a chance to solidify their spot in the top third of the GNAC and even get some respect in the West Region Rankings. The only thing that stands in their way is UAA. Go figure. Here's more in the Nanook Corner.

Ice Dogs start Brown Bears series with a win.

FAIRBANKS- Ice Dogs Hockey, Fairbanks gets the win over Kenai River 4-1 on Friday night.

Veteran Fairbanks forward Ryner Gorowsky marks two of those points on the night. Ice Dogs Goalie Gavin Nieto grabs 15 saves and Fairbanks would get the victory with a total of 41 shots.

The Dogs play Kenai River through Sunday before heading to take on Scranton next weekend.

The beginning of a Goldpanners baseball season is pretty much like a pick-up game. Players who don't know each other meet for the first time and immediately start playing.
