The Ravens make a late comeback to improve to 4-1

Last night the North Pole Patriots took on a team that traveled a long way to get here. The Rainier Columbians out of Oregon made the flight to play under the Friday night lights in the 49th state. The Columbians came out firing. Their quarter back completed 14 of 16 passes for 161 yards. His scrambling ability gave the Patriots defense fits. He would escape the pocket, extend plays and raked up one hundred four rushing yards. He scored five total touchdowns. Three in the air and two on the ground. The Patriots defense was repeatedly in the back field, getting a few sacks on the night.
Over the weekend Nanook cross country kicked off their season in Seattle at the Sundodger invitational. The race went through the Lincoln Park trails. UAF senior Dorothy O'Donnell was 27th overall and had the best finish among the Nanook runners in the 6K. She finished with a time of 22:13:30 which was only one minute and 44 seconds behind the leader. Kali Striker was the second Nanook runner to cross the finish line coming in 63rd overall with a time of just over 23 minutes. The Women's team finished 13th out of the 29 teams and was sixth among the GNAC teams.
