The Alaska Nanooks volleyball team will play St. Edwards University and Tiffin University in the 16th Annual Flint Hills Resources Nanook Classic which begins on Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Patty Center.

FAIRBANKS-Yesterday the weather may have been less than ideal for the Labor Day holiday but local runners got in a nice run before all that rain came into Fairbanks. The Labor Day 5K at Pioneer Park had 62 runners take the course on Monday.
Ari Endestad started out hot in the first mile but the veteran runner Tommy Dahill made his move by the bridge to take the lead.
TUKWILA, WASH-The Eclipse Soccer Club went to the Starfire Labor Day Cup tournament in Tukwila, Washington over the holiday weekend. They came back with a little hardware.
The Eclipse team was a combined team of 00 and 99 players and they finished with 1-1-1 record good enough for third place in the u16/17 bracket. They tied 0-0 in their match against Fusion on Sunday.
Riley Baumgartner and Kiarra Simpson both had a goal and assist for the Eclipse during the tourney.
