FAIRBANKS-Well yesterday the rain cancelled the races at the North Pole Speedway and game one of the Goldpanners Midnight Sun series with the Lake Eerie Monarchs. But that didn't stop 13 runners from going out to the Dusk to Dawn run while you were asleep.
Participants braved the rain and wet conditions to run as long as they could in 131 minutes on a 3.5 mile loop starting at UAF's West Ridge Trails. It started at 12:47 am and ended at 2:58 am.
Patrick Sartz, a Dusk to Dawn veteran ran the furthest going 18 miles. Brian Fleming was second in 16.1 miles.
