Creamer's Field will get a new Christmas tree

FAIRBANKS- The Arbor Day foundation has offered to plant a new Christmas tree at Creamers field in honor of Arbor Day. That organization, with the help of a local business, will replant a spruce tree in front of the visitor’s center. The public is invited to the event which starts at 2 pm, Monday afternoon. The original tree was 80- years old and cut down this fall because it was infested with beetles. A Christmas tree-lighting ceremony became an annual tradition at Creamer's Field in the last 15 years and can continue with the new tree.
