DOT regional director retiring

FAIRBANKS- The Northern Region Director for the Alaska Department of Transportation will retire this week after seven years in the position. Steve Titus is a lifelong Fairbanks resident with nearly 40 years of construction experience. As director of the Northern Region DOT, Titus has been responsible for more than 750 employees and a budget of 128– million dollars. The Northern Region's area is comparable to California, Nevada, and Arizona combined. Titus says he has been working since he was 12 years old, and it's time to slow down.
