FAIRBANKS- Two Nurses at the Fairbanks Public Health Center stand with the Rooster Booster who helps kids get various vaccines and booster shots. Measles are making a comeback in the lower 48 and whooping cough was at epidemic levels in Alaska the last two years. These are examples of diseases that can be prevented with vaccinations.
This week at the Fairbanks Public Health Center is celebrating National Infant Immunization Week by waving administration fees for children and some adults that are eligible to receive services at the health center. To see if you qualify for free vaccines or to make an appointment, call health center at 452-1776.
