Memorial service set for Kodiak shooting victims

The Coast Guard will hold a memorial service Wednesday in Kodiak for two men who were shot to death at the Coast Guard station there last Thursday.

The service, for Petty Officer 1st Class James Hopkins and civilian employee Richard Belisle, will be held in the hanger at the air station.

FBI spokesman Eric Gonzales said the shootings are a double homicide and that several law enforcement agencies are currently investigating.

Around 150 Kodiak residents showed up to a community meeting on Monday to ask Coast Guard officials and town leaders questions relating to the case.

No arrests have been made.
