Some Alaska lawmakers are worried about one provision of the state capital budget.
Representative Beth Kerttula tried to remove a provision that includes 25000 dollars for the governor's office while it was on the House floor several days ago.
The budget item is to provide information that can influence the outcome of different initiatives on this year's ballot.
Kerttula says she is concerned about the budget item's wording, implying that the governor's office's stance on certain issues could have adverse effects.
A spokeswoman for the Governor countered, saying that they will listen to the public when it comes time to discuss ballot initiatives.
