Trials likely for soldiers implicated in one soldier's death

The service members implicated in the death of 19-year-old Army Private Danny Chen could face trials in Fort Bragg, North Carolina if senior military officials decide to court-martial them.

Chen’s fellow soldiers frequently hazed and used slurs of racial epithets on Chen, apparently causing him to commit suicide.

The eight soldiers are charged with involuntary manslaughter and negligent homicide, among other crimes.

The decision concerning what to do with the eight soldiers currently rests on the commander of the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division.
