Anchorage police officials say they will continue their "tireless efforts" in the Samantha Koenig homicide case.
The body of the 18-year-old barista was pulled from Matanuska Lake in the Mat-Su Valley.
The body was discovered early Monday morning in a site investigation that included the Anchorage police department, Alaska State Troopers, and Federal Borough of Investigation officials.
Matanuska Lake is located off the Glenn Highway, near the Palmer-Wasilla Highway Interchange and the Matanuska-Susitna Regional Hospital.
Police say they believe the suspect in Koenig's abduction and murder acted alone, and that they have him already in custody.
Last month, law enforcement officials arrested 34-year-old Israel Keyes was arrested in Lufkin, Texas.
Anchorage Police Lieutenant Dave Parker says results of an autopsy could take days, but they're “pretty sure” the body is that of Koenig.
