FAIRBANKS, AK-I'm just the messenger but there are more game cancellations. The softball and baseball games scheduled for today, tomorrow, and Wednesday have been cancelled. The Marlin, Newby, and Davis fields still aren't ready yet.
By the end of the week the hope is to finally have some baseball and softball games in the Interior. This in an email by Steve Zanazzo Lathrop's Activities Coordinator. David Klein the AD over at Delta Junction has made their field available if need be.
The Ice Dogs answered and responded to everything the Wild threw at them and Fairbanks won its last home game of the season 3-2 tying the west division finals 2-2. Game five is Tuesday in Wenatchee.
FAIRBANKS, AK-Allison Norton signed her national letter of intent to play softball for Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato Minnesota awhile ago but made it official this week.
Norton, a North Pole infielder signed the letter in early April during a campus visit. She liked it so much she chose Bethany over several other schools including a division two program in South Carolina.
Bethany is a solid program finishing 13-8 in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference and 20-18 overall this season.
