FAIRBANKS, AK-Last night spring sports continue for prep athletes. Over at Ryan Middle School there was some softball action between the North Pole Patriots and the Monroe Rams in their double header.
The Patriots came in battle tested with a couple of games under their belt. This was the Rams first games of the season. The Patriots won game on 14-2 in three innings. In the second game it was little bit closer but the Patriots would come out on top.
Alaska Nanook commit Dorothy O'Donnell wins the 3200 and Mikko Sayre also wins the event for the Wolfpack in Day 1 of the Region 6 Track and Field Championships.
FAIRBANKS, AK-Last night in the Interior the first softball action of the season started at Ryan Middle School. The Lathrop Malemutes were in a non-conference double header with the Eielson Ravens. In the second game the Ravens had some control issues walking a number of Lathrop batters. Still getting the rust off I guess but Lathrop was sharp. The Malemutes exploded with a seven third inning.
