FAIRBANKS, AK-The Alaska Nanook hockey team get two more players to sign and they're local products. Jared Linnell and Justin Woods will be Nanooks.
Linnell, a center, has the Nanook pedigree. His parents are UAF alums from the late 80s. His father played hockey and his mother volleyball. Linnell is a North Pole product and was part of the Robertson Cup Champion Ice Dogs team from 2011. Linnell is coming off a stint in the USHL netting 31 points in 43 games for the Tri-City Storm.
The old dog didn't have any tricks but used enough to win. Stian Stensland overtakes UAF's Ross MacDoughall on the home stretch of the Chena River Run.
FAIRBANKS, AK-I'm just the messenger but there are more game cancellations. The softball and baseball games scheduled for today, tomorrow, and Wednesday have been cancelled. The Marlin, Newby, and Davis fields still aren't ready yet.
By the end of the week the hope is to finally have some baseball and softball games in the Interior. This in an email by Steve Zanazzo Lathrop's Activities Coordinator. David Klein the AD over at Delta Junction has made their field available if need be.
