Women's History Month

The theme of the celebration was "Women inspiring innovation through imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics."

The purpose for this event was to celebrate the many achievements of women and cross cultural diversity. The Key Note speaker was Major Christine Ryan the Cheif of Women's Health at Bassett Army Community Hospital.

Major Ryan encouraged attendies to keep going in thier own endevors, like many of the early women who became pionees in thier fields.  March was declared National Women's History month in 1987. Each year during Women's History Month a special Presidential Proclamation is issued which honors the extraordinary achievements of American Women.
