Wolfpack bite Bears for 8-1 victory

FAIRBANKS-Today at the Big Dipper West Valley hosted the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears.

At the 7:19 mark in the first and Ty Proffitt got the first goal of the game, he added two assists as well. Those were the first varsity points for the freshman forward. Gabe Rankin got another goal for West Valley five minutes later as the Wolfpack took a 2-0 lead into the second.

Casey Lewandoski got two goals within a minute of each other in second period. One was from a tough angle from the left side of the circle to push the lead to 4-0 for West Valley.

But the Bears would not be shutout. Cole Cheeseman scored on a 4-on-3 power play to make it a 4-1 game but the Wolfpack answered with two quick goals by Stoshie Skorulski and Taylor Geil who got one in a few minutes later.

West Valley had four players with multi-point games and they romp in this one 8-1.
