Winning streak ends for Goldpanners

FAIRBANKS, AK-Well it was good while it lasted but the Goldpanners nine game winning streak ended last night. The Anchorage Bucs finally showed up to take the last game of a four game series with a 10-0 shutout win.

The Goldpanners had 3-0 sweep going into last night's game. But the Bucs got 13 hits. Three of the 13 were extra base hits.

With the win the Bucs regain the top spot in the ABL at 7-3. The Mat-Su miners are second at 7-4 and the Panners are third at 4-3. Alaska is 13-4-1 overall.

The Panners will now entertain the Kenai Peninsula Oilers in a three game series this weekend.
