FAIRBANKS- A couple years ago the Downtown Association found artists to paint Fairbanks air vents, this week they will unveil their new public art project. It’s called the Window Project and the Association chose 12 artists to decorate windows of commercially available spaces. They hope the art will encourage people to rent or lease the spaces and help revitalize downtown. Artist submissions were based around the theme of “edge,” highlighting Alaskan life, science, fashion, fantasy and the abstract. The public can join artists for a walking tour of the windows on Friday, at 5:30 pm, in the Golden heart Plaza.
