Rain is helping crews who are battling many of the 40 active blazes, including a major one in the interior.
The weather is expected to warm up again by Thursday.
The Bitter Creek fire 60 miles east of Tok slowed Monday, after quickly burning through dry black spruce on Sunday.
The fire was sparked by lightning Friday.
To date, there have been 150 fires in Alaska this year, with more than 66 square miles burned.
