FAIRBANKS-The UAF women's basketball team was coming off a huge win over GNAC leader St. Martin's on Thursday. They hosted the Western Oregon Wolves who apprantly didn't get the memo.
The Nanooks came back from 16 point deficit and had their first lead of the game with 7:31 to go but the Wolves countered with a 10-2 run and did not give up the lead thanks to clutch free throw shooting. Western Oregon went 10-10 in the last two and half minutes of the game. The Wolves were also led by the play of freshmen guard Jordan Mottershaw who had a career high 19 points.
Freshman Jordan Wilson had 22 points and nine rebounds and fellow freshman Candice Prestwhich added 18 points for her career best.
Short term memory for the Nanooks as they host rival UAA this Saturday.
