West Valley boys soccer wins early season opener

ANCHORAGE-The West Valley Wolfpack boys soccer team are getting some game action early in the spring to get a head start on soccer season. The Wolfpack took on the Wasilla Warriors today at the Dome in Anchorage.

West Valley won their 2014 season opener with a 2-0 shutout victory over the Warriors.

Junior Brayden Deweese provided the offense with two first half goals for the Pack scoring in the 32nd and 35th minute. Norman Rockwell and Harry Simpson had the assists. First year player senior Keegan O'Brien got a shutout in his first game with the Pack as a goalie with 8 saves.

Next West Valley will play the Colony Knights who were the 2013 state runner-up tomorrow at noon to wrap up their early season non-conference road trip.
