Warrant issued for Fairbanks man accused of felony assault

A warrant has been issued for a Fairbanks man accused of multiple counts of felony assault.

29–year–old Tucker Holmgren is charged with assaulting his fiancé inside of an apartment in Fairbanks.

According to court documents, Holmgren hid inside of the victim's apartment and surprised her in a back room.

He reportedly stated he was going to "kill her," grabbed a hammer and attempted to "nail her to the wall."

Documents then say he tried to drive a staple through her hand; the victim said on a scale of zero to ten the pain from the assault was a 15.

Witnesses at the scene who tried to intervene say he also pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot them while attempting to help the victim.
