UPDATED-Vehicle Chase leads to Accident

FAIRBANKS, Ak - An early evening vehicle chase involving Alaska State Troopers led to an vehicle accident that sent three to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m., Alaska State Troopers gave chase to a Vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed, traveling west on the Mitchell Expressway.

The driver of the speeding vehicle turned onto the exit ramp of Old Aiport Way, but lost control of the vehicle at the sharp corner on the road immediatley off the exit ramp.  

The vehicle launched off the side of the roadway and careened into a College Utilities shed at the 10 foot level.

The driver of the vehicle,, identified by officers as Christopher Turco,  fled the scene, leading to multiple police agencies coordinating a lock down of the area.

Three people were transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital with injuries.They were identified as Turco's Mother, his 6 year old son and 7 year old daughter.

Troopers say their injuries were serious, but did not appear life threatening.Turco reportedly had four outstanding warrants for his arrest and troopers say he was  revoked and was violating his conditions of release
