UAF women's basketball gets ready for last home games

FAIRBANKS-The Alaska women's basketball team returns home as well but they're on a three game skid and are looking for their 10th win.

They host Western Washington on Thursday. The Vikings are third in the GNAC. On Saturday the Nanooks play second ranked Simon Fraser. Both Western Washington and the Simon Fraser Clan are on four game winning streaks.

However, the last time the Nanooks and the Clan played it was a close 75-73 win for the Clan.

Defense will be key. Head coach Cody Bench says when they hold teams under 70 points they a great chance to win. Saturday's game will also be senior day for UAF forwards Sam Thornton and Ruth O'Neal.
