UAF men's basketball team holds serve at home with OT win

FAIRBANKS-It took five more minutes at the end of regulation but UAF prevailed 84-80 over Central Washington in the Patty Center tonight.
With just 16 seconds remaining, the Nanooks (9-5, 4-2 GNAC)  hit two of four free throws to hold off the Wildcats. held off the Wildcats. Central's Mark McLaughlin who had a game high 32 points, which was just his third best in a GNAC game this season, couldn't nail a three late to extend the game. J.B. Pillard added a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Wildcats as well.

The Wildcats (7-7, 3-3 GNAC) were battle tested in overtime situations. Tonight's overtime game was their second in a row and thrid of the year and they won the first two overtime games.
Senior center Sergej Pucar had a team high 26 points for UAF. The Serb was big from the free throw line going 12 for 15.  He also grabbed a team best seven boards. Fellow senior guard Ronnie Baker scored 18 points. Andrew Kelly, another senior for the Nooks chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds in the win.
