UAF get two new skiers on women's team

FAIRBANKS, AK-The signing season continues to be good one for Interior athletes leaving to pursue athletic and academic careers and it's a been a good season for the Nanooks. The UAF women's cross country skiing squad secured two recruits and they are first signees during the spring period.

Amelia Anderson out of Salt Lake City, Utah will be coming to Fairbanks. Anderson was the 2010 MVP for the Salt Lake Nordic Ski team and was placed seventh in the JI United States Nationals this year. The Skyline High school product plans to major in mechanical engineering and also aims to participate on UAF's cross country team as well.

Nicole Bathe from Madison, Wisconsin will also be a Nanook this fall. Bathe out of Verona Area High School is a four time U.S. Ski Team All-American and a four time Junior National All-American. She also has international skiing experience being on the US JI team in Europe the past two years. Bathe plans to be an elementary education major.
