UAF cross country and ski teams pick up in-state recruits

FAIRBANKS-The UAF cross country team picked up some new skiers and runners for the late summer and winter seasons.

Daniel Serventi of Grace Christian High School will be a Nanook in the fall. In cross country Serventi won the individual region and state title for 1-3A this season. He's won four state titles as a skier for the Grizzlies. The two time all-state skier was fourth at US Jr Nationals plans to major in mechanical engineering.

For the women's team Sarissa Lammers, Isaac Lammers' little sister joins the Nanook program.

Sarissa Lammers is the first to sign with the women's ski team. Lammers comes from Chugiak High School where she was regional and state skimeister this year. She's a four time all-state skier, was fourth in the 10K at Senior Nationals and 10th at Junior Nationals. She plans to major in general education.
