UAF can't cool off rival

FAIRBANKS-In UAF sports the volleyball team couldn't get a win over their rivals on Saturday night. The red hot Seawolves came into the Patty Center and despite two competitive sets the Nanooks the Seawolves get their seventh straight win in a row and remain undefeated in conference play with a 25-16, 25-17, 25-10 sweep of the Nanooks.

UAA had three players hitting over 61 percent and set a new GNAC conference record hitting 52 percent as team. West Valley product Julia Mackey led UAA with 12 kills. Sam Harthun had a game high 13 kills for Alaska.

Next for the Nanooks are a pair of road matches at no.7 Western Washington and Simon Fraser.
