FAIRBANKS- Kids at the Tanana Valley State Fair know all the rides, from the zipper to the egg roll, but the board of directors is making changes to future carnival rides. This month, the Tanana Valley State Fair Association chose to end their relationship with Golden Wheel Amusement because of contract disputes. The company has provided carnival rides at the fair since 1967, which means next year’s rides may be a little different. The General Manager for the Fair, Joyce Whitehorn says, they hired a Canadian Company called, A-1 Midway, which will also travel to Delta, and Kenai. She says the quality of rides will be the same and the prices will be more affordable.
