Troopers warn of Fairbanks scam

In the last two weeks Alaska State Troopers in Fairbanks say they've investigated two separate incidents involving person(s) that do not appear to be from the Fairbanks area scamming local residents.
In a news release, Troopers say both
incidents involve suspects approaching local residents' and offering to do body work on their vehicles.
In both instances, Troopers say they
charged a large sum of money and actually did more damage to the vehicles instead.
Troopers say they want to remind everyone to be wary of such offers and remind everyone to use caution when approached in this manner.
