Alaska State Troopers have concluded their concentrated holiday enforcement in what they called, "an effort to keep the roads safe this holiday season."

This was done as part of a nationwide, "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.

During the ramped up patrols Troopers reported 51 misdemeanor DUI arrests, 5 felony DUI arrests, pulled over 239 reckless drivers reported by the REDDI ("Ready") system, and reported over 200 crashes, only 2 of which were fatal.

Troopers say over 1 thousand citations were issued throughout the State as part of the campaign as well.

Although the campaign is over Troopers urge motorists to continue to keep the roads safe by calling 911 to "Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately."
