An Alaska State Trooper was involved in a vehicle rollover while responding to a call on the Kenai Peninsula.
According to a report, the Trooper Richard Chambers responded to a call of a man with a gun at a residence near Nikolaevsk early this morning.
While driving to the scene, the Trooper vehicle hit ice and left the road, rolling into a swamp.
Chambers managed to escape through the driver’s window as the vehicle was taking on water.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
