THC candy found in Fairbanks

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — Fairbanks police say an adult found a bag of medically prescribed THC candy on a street, and authorities urged parents to caution their children about the many forms drugs can take.

The man who found it turned it into officers yesterday, worried that it might wind up in the hands of children.

AP reports labeling on the package had the manufacturer's name, EdiPure, which makes and sells candy infused with THC, the active ingredient of marijuana. It also had the words, "Medical Use Only" and "Keep From Children."

Sgt. Robert Thompson said police expect to see more products like this shipped to Alaska now that the recreational use of marijuana has been legalized in both Colorado and Washington state.
