The 82nd Tanana Valley State Fair will open its doors to the public this Friday and will run through the 11th of August.
This year the fair will feature many new additions.
However, today the fairgrounds were a scene of organized chaos as venders were making last minute repairs and makeovers.
Fair organizers are very happy with changes they have added including three new food vendors, exciting and fun new entertainment shows, a complete asphalt coating for all of the walkways and midway, and a special area that will be aimed at the younger generation. According to fair General Manager Jill Falldin, this year accomodations have been made for a specific demographic. "We have some new events over in the area that we're highlighting the "Adventure Land" area, over next to BP.
We have Joel's place that's going to be there doing skateboard demonstrations along with a lot of vendors that are more geared toward young adults.
So I think they will enjoy that area along with the new beautiful picnic area right over next to BP and the "Adventure land" area.
