A sub 32 minute time could be a winner for this year's Midnight Sun Run

FAIRBANKS-The biggest run in the Interior is this Saturday. Now in last year's rce Dylan Anthony came in first for men's division at 32 minutes and eight seconds and he was wearing a tree costume.

Katie Krehilk dressed as a bird and she was first for ladies in 39:14. Both of them are UAA cross country teammates and were the first costumed runners to win the 10k Midnight Race.

Jake Moe, David McKay, Chris Eversman and Mike Kramer rounded out the top five men finishers.

Bekah Kirty was second in the women's division followed by former UAF runner Theresia Schnurr. UAA's Bethia and Melanie Nussbaumer completed the women's top 5.

The 2013 Midnight Sun Run had over 3,800 people register. Canada, Sweden and Germany were represented along with people from 34 different states.

So far over 1,700 have registered already plus hundreds on Bib-Pick Up day last Saturday. The 32nd Midnight Sun Run is June 21 at 10pm at the UAF Patty Center.
