Veterans, current military personnel and their families will have a chance to have their stories recorded and placed in the Library of Congress starting Sunday.

StoryCorps Military Voices Initiative will be holding sessions on Post.

Jesse Hensel, teacher at Arctic Light Elementary says, “It's a conversation between two people; you can choose whether you walk away with a CD or it gets archived at the Library of Congress or you can just walk right out of the room without taking anything with you. It's wide open in terms of what it is possible to talk about."

This is the first time that Story Corps will record on an active duty Military Installation, and those involved say any stories can be discussed during the interview.

Story Corps also provides a list of “conversation starters” and ideas to get your session going.
