South wins at John Tobin Invit., Malemutes get 3 titles

NORTH POLE-In high school wrestling over the weekend at the John Tobin Invitational in North Pole but South Anchorage came away with the team title out of the eight teams.

The Patriots and Malemutes finished third and fourth while Wasilla was runner up.

The Malemutes won three different titles. Andrew Hendrix won the 120 pound class, followed by Joe Dickinson at 160 and Jacob Wharton at 182. They're all seniors. Ben Davis won the 285 pound class for North Pole.

South won six different titles on Saturday for their victory.
