Silver medal for Nanooks rifler, Lathrop shooters place

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO-The Lathrop Malemutes are representing at the National Junior Olympic Shooting Championships but the elder Nanook is bringing
back some hardware. Ryan Anderson the sophomore rifle athlete of UAF took the silver medal in men's air rifle.

Anderson only missed out on the gold by one and half points.Connor Davis our of Kentucky won gold and the defending champion Tyler Rico, an Air Force cadet earned the bronze medal. Anderson is a member of the USA Shooting National Junior Teams and is coming off a 589 shooting performance on the final day of the NCAA championships leading all Nanooks to a fourth place finish. His 589 was 12th out of 44 shooters at that event.

There are over 500 participants in this year's championships including members of the Junior National team.

Lathrop's JT Schnering finished 74th and Connor Gilliam finished 98th respectively.
