Board members with the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District have confirmed that other employees with the district have been placed on administrative leave in connection with the ongoing investigation of Hutchison High School tutor, Claude Fowlkes.
Details of how many employees and their names are not yet being released however, the actions stem from an internal investigation of how the district handled prior claims of inappropriate behaviors reportedly demonstrated by Fowlkes.
A preliminary investigation showed numerous claims were filed against Fowlkes, dating back to 2008.
The board unanimously voted to terminate Superintendent Pete Lewis in connection with the investigation.
We will have more details on this case tomorrow.
